Robi - School manager & head instructor

Having bought his first kite in 2001 Robi learned kiting at a time when kite lessons were not available, gear was still at an early stage of development and fellow kiters were figuring out this new sport on their own and learning from each other’s mistakes. Numerous crashes at his home spot Lake Como couldn't hold him back from pursuing this sport. Since 2012 Robi has been working as a passionate and very committed instructor, inspiring students from all around the world every day. He is a great asset to our center, and we are very happy to have him here with us.

Johanna - Administration

Being half Sri Lankan, half Swedish, Johanna strives to sustain and promote a healthy relationship between Kalpitiya’s flourishing kite tourism and local community. Johanna is also your host at our base The Rascals Kite Resort.

Shibi - Yoga Teacher

Our in-house yoga teacher Shibi runs daily yoga classes throughout our season and helps tired bodies relax and prevent injuries. She is certified in Ashtanga Vinyasa (200hrs) and also in an Iyengar-based training under the Knoff Yoga system (200hrs). Her sequences are a mix of both, a practice focused on alignment and muscle activation interlaced with the energetic principles of Vinyasa. Shibi is also your host at our partnering hotel Anawasal.
